New Peels GroupOur Latest Professional Treatment Updates Offer Even More Advanced Benefits

Peptide Peel w/ Stem Cells: Our most popular professional treatment, this potent, but non-invasive peel delivers many immediate benefits to aging skin. Recently updated with an increased peptide concentration.

Glycolic Peel-30, Glycolic Peel-50: These two new peels are traditional, non-buffered Glycolic Peels with the addition of Peptides. While they do not have the peptide concentration of the Peptide Peel w/ Stem Cells, they bring excitement, and an added lift to traditional Glycolic.

Bio-Lactic Sensitive Skin Peel: A re-release of the original, our Bio-Lactic Sensitive Skin Peel is a softer alternative to Glycolic. While designed for Sensitive Skin, it can also be used as an add-on booster for Micro-Derm, and other popular treatments.

TCA-10: For advanced skin professionals, the TCA-10 offers a deeper peel, further promoting skin smoothness and vitality for aging skin. This new TCA Peel also features a combination of supporting acids, with Salicylic at 2.5%, and 3.5% Glycolic.

What’s New?

2015-16 Brochure, and Product Guide:

As many of you know we have a new brochure and product guide out. Please let us know if you haven’t received either and we’ll send them your way. The product guide is e-mail only for now, however it does contain the most up to date product information available.

Nano-Peptide B5 Complex is now the Hydration Serum w/ Peptides:

This transition has been a long time in the making, and as with any best-selling product, we hate to make any significant changes so we decided to keep the formula very much the same, though we did increase the Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) from 30 to 33% just to give an extra level of hydration that we so often hear is a need for our customers. The name change was necessary as the FDA has warned against using the term “Nano” and the use of nano-technology in skin care is still an unresolved issue, so over the years we’ve switched to slightly larger “micron” molecules, which still provides a very fine application, and avoids the controversy.

A&M Eye Recovery Therapy:

The A&M Eye also received a formula update, now featureing the Uplevity peptide, another new ingredient for increasing collagen, functional elasticin synthesis, and cellular support, giving better structure to the dermis. An easy way to tell if you have the new product is that the product color is a brighter yellow, while the former was more of a darker peach.

2016 Pricing

We are excited about the New Year, and the changes it brings, however it does come with some significant challenges for us. Over the last several years, the FDA has been more aggressive with mandated stability and other testing of OTC (Over-the-counter) products, significantly raising our per batch costs on our Solar Protection, and Acne Control products. Once we acclimated to these increased costs, we had been hoping the same (extra, and expensive) testing mandates would not extend in to Cosmetic products, which would effectively cover our full retail line. However, just within the last month or two, we received word that yes indeed, our full retail line of products will be subject to mandated stability and other additional testing. The idea is that this will benefit U.S. and worldwide consumers at large, however LPAR customers will continue to receive the same quality products they always have enjoyed, while we are forced to raise pricing and consider discontinuing some of our retail products that do not sell at high volumes.

The new, 2016 pricing will be announced just before the start of the New Year and go in to effect February 1st, so we encourage you to take advantage of current pricing throughout December and January.

With Our Sincere Gratitude

Thank you for your business this year!  From all of us at LPAR, we look forward to serving you in the year ahead.

We couldn’t be more excited to introduce our newest product, the Thyme & Apricot Cleanser, which we expect to be available very soon in the coming months. It will be our most universal and nutrient rich cleansing product for both home care and professional treatments, with a fresh and clean natural scent, owing to the many botanical and fruit extracts.

Apricots Fresh

Designed for all skin types, the Thyme & Apricot Cleanser is a gentle, yet thorough cleansing lotion, rich with botanicals, fruit extracts and oils. Thyme oil (thymol) is the primary cleansing agent, with strong anti-microbial attributes, providing antibacterial activity, and an effective fungicide. Apricot extract conditions and moisturizes the skin while helping maintain skin elasticity. Together, they create a complete cleansing experience with natural and sustainable ingredients.

How to Use:
Emulsify cleanser with lukewarm water, and gently massage onto the skin. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft towel. For normal, oily, or delicate skin, cleanse twice daily. For acne regimens, alternate with the Acne Cleanser w/ Salicylic, once per day each (morning or evening). For external use only.

What Exactly are Pores?

Pores are openings on the skin’s surface, coming from glands beneath the skin, and serve as a link between the dermis and epidermis. Each pore contains a sebaceous gland, responsible for producing oils in your skin. Typically, pores are more noticeable on the face, including the forehead and nose where sebaceous glands are larger in size.

How are Pore Sizes Determined?

Primarily, you can thank genetics and ethnicity for pore size. Fair-skinned people often have smaller pores, and those with olive or darker skin have larger ones. Small pores generally lead to naturally dry skin, with larger pores causing more oily skin.

There are other factors that can affect pore size; older or dead skin cells, and cells with trapped sebum, can form a pimple and stretch out pores. Additionally, UV rays weaken the collagen that supports pores and keep them tight, making the pores look larger in size.

Strategies to Minimize Pores

While you can’t force pores to shrink, there are a number of treatments available to minimize the appearance of pores:

  • First, keep them clear and unclogged by avoiding skin care products containing heavy ingredients such as petrolatum and mineral oil. Next, exfoliate your skin several times each week using products such as our Pineapple Facial Scrub or Non-Abrasive Exfoliating Cream to remove pore-enlarging dead skin cells. Be sure to follow up with solar protection so that fresh skin cells are protected.
  • For stubborn pores that need a little extra help, consider a stronger solution such as Salicylic Acid to exfoliate the surface of the skin and remove clumped dead skin cells. For home care, our Acne Cleanser w/ Salicylic Acid would be an excellent choice. Or seeing a professional for one of our Salicylic Peels (Pumpkin Enzyme Peel, or Salicylic Acid Peel). These peels leave pores looking smaller and make the skin appear younger, softer and smoother.

Addressing the multiple problems of sun and age damaged skin, the Intensive
Clarifying Facial Cream combines powerful lightening agents (Kojic Acid, Licorice, Emblica, and Jack Fruit) with Glycolic Acid, antioxidants and botanical extracts to help minimizing fine lines, even skin tone, and naturally exfoliate the outer layer of the skin.

Kojic Acid is naturally found in fungi, and is one of the most tried and true lighteners, helping to stop the production of melanin in the skin and keep melanocytes under control. Age spots, sun spots and spots related to melasma and hyperpigmentation generally contain more melanin than the surrounding healthy skin.

Licorice is an herb that gives the skin a mild smoothening and brightening effect. It helps in the fading of hyper-pigmentation and sun damage for all skin tones in a safe manner. It blocks melanin production to prevent the formation of hyper-pigmentation. Its usage leaves the skin brighter, hydrated and clearer. The licorice root also contains a particular compound that works as a gentle sunscreen, acting like a shield to protect the skin from UVA/ UVB rays and to keep skin looking bright and fresh.

Emblica Fruit Extract acts as a very powerful antioxidant and has been shown to reduce hyper-pigmentation, brighten and provide even-toned skin. Additionally, it is thought to contain very high amounts of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), a powerful antioxidant known to reduce wrinkles, suppress pigmentation, and help skin retain its natural moisture.

Jack Fruit Seed Extract is a relatively new ingredient in skin care technology with promising lab results for skin lightening. Like Emblica and Licorice, it’s a natural alternative to lighten dark spots and increase skin luminosity.
